If you're not putting anything in, your body is going to have to use something, so you will lose fat.  Even drinking water/salt when fasting I still lost weight fast, so it's not all water weight.   I don't lose much now, I'm about to where I need to be.  I can splurge some, like tonight if I prepare and not gain.
