South Central MN | Following...also have joint stiffness and cement kills me too, and am about the same age. I can go for a walk on gravel or snowshoe, but if I try walking on concrete, it hurts. I think it’s pretty common. I tried glucosamine for 6-8 weeks with zero results. I am now making a collagen peptide shake daily following an injury to my bicep tendon, and it will probably good to help heal the injury, but I’m guessing I won’t notice any improvement in joint stiffness...time will tell. I think we have to be honest with ourselves about how active we “really” are. We need to be active a good part of EVERY SINGLE DAY, and I am guilty of not being very active during the winter. I did a walking challenge (just 1-2 miles a day, but EVERY SINGLE DAY) last winter and noticed improvement from that. There used to be a weigh in post in the kitchen table...perhaps we should start a “be active” post. | |
