I bought this ASUS ZenDrive U9M 8x External USB-C DVD-RW Writer - Silver external CD player for my laptop in November. It worked well for three months and suddenly today it won't work. 
It does not even show up in file explorer the way it normally does. I've restarted, unplugged and tried several different disks that all worked before and nothing works. 
Maybe tomorrow I'll restart and it will be back to normal but I'm not too hopeful. I'm trying to find the box it came in with information on warranty but can't.
