Years ago [ like 10 at least] I had a torn retina in my right eye. Surgery to fix it, and laser 'zapps' to weld the left retina at any weak spot. Since then I occasionally get what I am told are 'visual migraines'. They take the form of a little, sparkly, irregular shaped spot, not in the direct line of vision. They 'stick around' for maybe 4 or 5 minutes, slowly expanding in area, then just fading out. No pain or any other 'inconvenience'. Over the years these visual migraines may occur two or three times a year. In the last month I had an episode of visual migraine three or four days running. Just figuring I'd have to record frequency and endurance times, and go see a doctor, and they have quit - none for four days at least. Does any one on NAT 'suffer' these visual migraines? I might add I very nearly never have what one may call an ordinary headache, let alone an 'aching migraine'. I am a 75 yr old male if that is of any consequence. |
