But watching them again I pick up things I better understand now that I did not have the background to understand then.

This is something I discovered a long time ago. I've found that when I am reading something that is over my head, I need to keep reading. Depending on how far over my head it is, I can read it in portions. Even if I feel like I understand nothing at the time, when I come back to it at a later time, it starts to make sense. I am often amazed at how the brain works. So much work is done in the background that we have no awareness of. |
