Pittsburg, Kansas | To add to that good information, doing intermittant fasting (or time restricted feeding - they kind of overlap) becomes much, much easier once a person has been on a low carb/high good fat diet for several weeks.
The hunger pains are going to be pretty strong if a person is on a junk food diet and goes right into intermittant fasting. It will work, but it is so much easier when hunger is controlled by being fat adapted via a low carb/high good fat diet.
