Thank you.  You jogged my memory.  ASC 1 is 49 and ASC 2 is 50 and the way that the program was reading the database it saw the 2 as the first character.  So that made 250 more than 10250.

I'll have some thinking to do to make it see the blank space which I believe is ASC 20.

I'm using an old database program that I really like.  It's FOXPRO and it does everything I want.  I've seen that it's used by a number of business still.
