| Only about 800 feet. And it's at 5 GHz too, so that's attenuated even more by trees (creates echos, etc). I can get nearly 90% of the maximum bandwidth through the trees. For longer distances, trees will cause more problems, so that's a reason to go 2.4 GHz. The 2.4 GHz system has less bandwidth but more power to go through obstacles and less reflections.
Also there are more expensive Ubiquiti units that have dishes, called PowerBeam. They have even more power to go through obstacles. Have had good luck with those as well, also going through trees, at a distance of about the same 800 feet or so.
I don't really know how they would perform with tree obstacles over a distance of 2 miles. Depending on where the trees are, it might be better or could be worse. I bet it will make a connection, though.
