Subject: RE: In floor heat

Lake Park Iowa

The garage and basement are on their own zone.  I was told that the installer did not size the geo right.  So very little of the geo helps on the in floor heat part.  The garage and basement is super insulated.  I had the installer come out and check himself and said the reason for the high energy bill is the electric water heater hardly shuts off.  I was told to keep the garage colder.  We keep our shop and hog barns warm. Do not like going into a cold garage. That is the reason for asking for input on what direction to go.  Have had 3 different heating contractors out so far.  Right now none of geo water goes through the infloor heat, only hot water.  I know a lot more now than in 2013.  Thanks
