We have infloor heat in our garage and basement.  It is to use the leftover heat from geo that heats the house.  They put in a electric water heater to heat what the geo does not.  The water heater runs way to much.  It is a electric water heater and we are paying 13 cents per unit.  Looking at either going to a gas boiler or a gas water heater.  Anyone have suggestion on what they have had experience with, what would be the way to go?  Yes, I have been told it was designed wrong, but now we are trying to help it out.  Thanks Dan

Does your electric utility company offer a different / lessor rate for duel fuel or geo heat ? Here, that would be at a $0.06¢ rate . .  . ..

Go with gas water heater - less problems and your geo back feed with work more easily with it.
