Someone mentioned laptops do not have as long a life as a desktop.  Our experience with laptops with W7 is very good,
7 years or so.  Also have 2 laptops with W10 now only mainly for web surfing.  Farm records are on W7 and will continue to
be with Quickbooks, Apex etc., no reason to change there at all.

Be smart and use a online automatic backup service like I-Drive, very simple, easy and costs pennies.

The only computers we've had crash and die were the desktops.
