Subject: RE: wifi password

North Dakota
from a computer that is wired direct to the router with an ethernet cable. Type in either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your web browser, address depends on brand of router. If someone has changed the default address of the router you might be able to find the correct address if you know the IP address of the computer you are using. YouTube it.

After you get to the router, 90% + pf the routers have the user name and password as admin- admin. Sometimes just a user name and sometimes just the password. Once in the router look for wifi security.

Just a note, if this is your router and there is any possibility of others hacking into your system, change the login and password. Also make sure WPA or WPA2 is turned on. and change the IP address to something other than .0.1 or .1.1. The 192.168 is default for home wireless.

If this is not your router and you dont know the password, good luck if they have security turned up. You might be able to break in with a brute force password hack but most newer systems will lock you out after a couple of hundred tries. Just an example is a password from one of the systems in my phone, As43%6KLP!*nkP>rt#sBrt(?. Around 6 billion combinations you would have to try.
