Pittsburg, Kansas | My own personal experiment, over about a 9 month period I drastically increased my saturated fat, drastically decreased my carbohydrates up to my last annual blood draw.
Results? HDL significantly up, LDL stayed about the same, triglycerides significantly lower. Cholesterol levels IMPROVED under 9 months of a low carb high fat diet.
HBA1C went from 7 (been around that for at least 15 years) to 5.7. From 9 months low carb high good fat ketogenic diet.
Don't tell me to not eat bacon. LOL
