In this area a lot of IH farmers had MF till the early 80's, a few JD had MF as well but just a few farmers, when IH came with the axials MF was about done & there went a big crowd to IH & Gleaners seemed to hold their customers longer & still a handful left with the diehards owners. Deere became popular here in the early 70's & when MF stayed with the 750 & 760 into the 850 & 860 design MF lost to JD because MF was pushing price with the variable gear drive & the 6 cly engines for a price fighter & Deere had the Hydro more or less standard in the late 70's & better rigid & Flex heads.
