Dell is not my favorite brand (I feel they make things as cheap as possible to just get by) ....
The reason for buying a dedicated video card is to relieve some of the load on the CPU - it should n'tmake it work harder
Have you been to the website of the video card maker and downloaded the big version of the install with all the configuration areas (not using just a generice win 10 type driver)
You should be able to tweak the settings of the video card in that configuration panel and get some benefit.
