Subject: Radials do not have "memory" like bias

Too close to Raleigh, NC
Bias ply will have a little more issue with direction of rotation depending on age and "set" of cords.

Went 60K miles on front tires on my 96 Dodge 2WD diesel without ever rotating them (other than round and round as I drove). This was on good roads, mostly interstate, not too many curves. Changed to the current set of Michelins b/c that set got to where they would throw the wheel weights and get out of balance. Tire guy was real happy to get me the Michelins after bugging him so much about the weights taking early retirement. Heck, it even threw one drivng across his parking lot that was just put on.

In the mountains of SW Va my Dad has to rotate tires every 5K miles or so due to the twisty roads and rough surface eating the outside edges of the fronts. Alot of the potential for wear depends on the geometry of the vehicle suspension, road surface, and edge-loading when going through curves.
