I made some music cd's for a friend.  They have a 2018 Dodge van.  I think it's a 2018.  They can play the cd's that I made using the old technology for earlier cars, vans and trucks.
My understanding is that new vehicles can play MP3's.  

I'm wondering if I just put MP3's on a DVD will it work?  If I put music on a DVD with the same format that I used in the past will the DVD's work?  That's 2 (two) different things I'm asking.  

Maybe 3 things.

Will these newer vehicles play a DVD
Will the MP3 play from a DVD
Will the old format from the CD's of the past work on a DVD
