For your uses, probably. They still fail though, had one fail last week.

SSDs are NAND storage. The locations can only be programmed and erased a finite number of times. Most consumer SSDs are Multi Layer and have a P/E life under 10,000. Single layer can be upwards of 100k but $$$

HDDs don't really have a similar limit but they have mechanical parts that will fail and they don't deal with harsh environments as well.

SSDs are cheap, not much reason to get a spinny drive anymore.
