I have 295/90R44's on our sprayer, and I do not count on, or even claim to be able to keep them between 15" rows, but I have a friend who swore he drove 14.9's between 15" rows all the time.
IMO spraying across the rows causes less damage. In certain conditions I believe this is even true when running in 30" rows.
