Keep both hands on the wheel at the 10 and 2 o'clock position.  Only remove the right one when you actually shift.  Don't rest the hand on the shifters. 

Yes, you can drive to slow.  I was trying to time my truck for a left hand turn and slowed down to something like 35-40 mph to time it for the on coming traffic, instead of going the full 55 and got marked down for that. 

Now we did have a couple of inspectors here than were really getting picky for any driving test, car, whatever.  They finally called them in and told them to stop being so and things are back to normal now. 

Here they have you do your backing up on a large open lot.  No references to go by, that is streets, trees, ect.  and I am bad at backing up.  I had to do a retest on that one, but got it.
