I use it to speed up loading to YouTube, when a file is only a fraction of the original size it doesn't take long to upload OR send.  
If you have a gmail account you can post on YouTube and select PRIVATE so that only the designated person can see the video. 

I created a video showing how to make cabinet doors.  The file was 
866,873 KB and after running it through MeGUI.exe it was 35,515 KB
