VPN is one half. It allows the computers to see each other. The second half is being able to control the other computer assuming the software is only on the shop computer. Remote Desktop built into Windows Pro versions will do it, but that means your shop computer needs that version of Windows. Team Viewer handles both the remote control and VPN stuff for you. The easiest way, not knowing what the cost is, would be to have the software on both computers and store the data in the cloud. I would recommend Microsoft's OneDrive. But there are others too. You're not reliant on the shop computer being turned on all the time that way. |
