New Brunswick, Canada
All pretty similar these days but my 2009 Mac laptop still runs all day, everyday. It is still fast and reliable although I did have an SSD put in when it needed a bigger drive. Coworkers have been through 2,3,4 Dell laptops in that time that were no cheaper. I can buy a new battery for 50$, the old dell's at work are always pitched out due to needing 500$ batteries.

Would I pay 2000$ for one? Not a chance but the build quality is there even on the cheaper ones.

It's not a fair comparison or even a competition when you compare a $200 PC to a $2000 apple. I built a $2000 PC 10 years ago and I'm still running it without issue.

I just don't understand how people will buy a $2000 apple and then compare it to a $200 PC and wonder why one works better then proclaim all PC's stink and apple is superior.

Otherwise apple uses the same hardware as PC's anymore, minus the motherboard, and most of the time it's not the newest processors or fastest ram either. The only thing you're buying with apple anymore is a sleek design and the operating system.

Also if you're somewhat good with computers, you can put Mac OS on a PC.
