Apple has been using the same hardware as windows machines since they went away from IBM/Motorola power pc chips. All those years of steve jobs on stage talking about how terrible Intel processors were and now they are the greatest thing in the world.
The only thing Apple offers is a different OS and a higher price. That's not to say it isn't a good choice but the hardware is nothing special
