Couldn't have said it better.
From my recollection (I only did it one time), the Lincoln limited out at 135 - it would hit it, then drop to 133-134, then back to 135. But things were happening so fast, and my concentration was straight ahead and DRIVING, that I may have been subconciously easing off. I do know that even though the car felt smooth, you knew you were right on the edge - and you needed to slow down.
Was fun for a little bit though!
