Subject: RE: I don't understand

West-Central Illinois
When VRT applying ammoniated phosphorus fertilizer (18-46-0, 11-52-0) the nitrogen credits to apply against the total N application are also being varied. By using the ammoniated phosphorus fertilizer N source as a credit, the NH3 application needs to be varied so that the total N applied is uniform.

This, of course, applies to a whole-field approach for average crop yield. If yields are determined by soil productivity ratings, then the crop removal portion of the N, P, and K equations will result in additional variability in the total N applied for each soil mapping unit.
