Subject: Re: Buying Your First Farm

Central, IL
The best thing I did was bite off 80 acres when I was 21. I heard them all about going broke, it will never pay for itself, and dont waste money on farmland, put it into a retirement account. I thought it was a little out of my reach at the time but I did it anyway. Now I just wish I would have bought the other piece next to it too. Being 21 and almost a 1/4 million in the hole tought me a few things about management. I'll never say I cant go broke but I do feel much better now than when I singned those papers!
