Quincy, IL | My first farm was purchased from my great grandparents estate in 1988 at public auction. There were 4 tracts that sold, all went back to family, no neighbors bid against the family. I dont think that would ever happen again, times have changed alot since then.
Since then, I have bought 5 other tracts, 4 from family and 1 from a landlord. Will soon be closing on another tract from a family member, if all works out.
I'm gratefull to them for giving me the chance to farm and make a better life for myself!!! (most days) | |
