Every time I try to print something with my inkjet, the print head is dried out. Half an hour of cleaning sometimes brings it back a little, but usually I end up putting in new cartridges which usually cost over $100.
I bought a color laser printer about 20 years ago, and it's still working perfectly.
Need new printer
