You say you cant get the printer head clean enough to print.

My suggestion - before you buy another is -   [may be too late!].

Take the printing head out and soak it in a 50/50 mix of Mentholated spirit and water.

I did mine overnight, then used gentle air pressure to ensure that the tip was clean.

My printer for colour is an inkjet Canon, which  dried up from non use. The above process got it going again, which was good because I had several replacement colour tanks on hand, and they cost more than the inkjet printer!

I would consider going laser colour if our mono laser printer quit.  - [obviously we have two!].
