Bourbon,Indiana

Have a farmer a few mile from me in Northern Indiana who raises snap beans. After the first crop they hurry & moldboard the old residue to get the new crop planted. This is usually in the late June timeframe. When it is dry & windy you cannot see to go down the highway sometimes.

Even further east near Leesburg, In. They grow thousands of acres of seed corn on prarie soil. Old timers had many wind breaks planted, but over the years most of these have been removed to create larger fields and irrigation systems. My Aunt lives there and they have to put the plow blades on the county tucks every few years to plow the soil off the roads.  I always see dirty snow when driving through there. Sort of sad to see.
