| I suspect that every single one of the cell phone companies lies to their customers. I know that I have caught Alltel in a number of lies. A number of years ago I had bought a used phone that had been a Verizon phone, it had their logo on it and everything. I called Alltel to activate it on their system and the tech guy walked me through activating it with no problems. A few months latter we needed another phone and so I got another used Verizon phone same model and all. Called Alltel to activate it and the guy said, “that phone won’t work on our system”. I told him he was full of BS and wanted to talk to his supervisor. The super tried the same story but when I told him that he was lying because I was talking to him on the first Verizon phone that they had activated he backed down and admitted that they were told to say the phones would not work on the Alltel system. Then he activated it and we are still using one of those two phones today. | |
