If I'm reading this right on Alltel's website, you can choose any phone you want through Alltel even if they don't carry it. I'm registered for online account access through them and there is a tab where you can change out your phone online. All you need is the "ESN/MEID number & HEX or DEC code". for the new phone. It even shows you where to find it.

Locating ESN

Remove the battery from the back of your Alltel phone.
You will see a square sticker on the back of your phone.
You will need to locate the ESN on this sticker.
The ESN is either an 8 digit alphanumberic or 10 digit number which is generally marked by ESN HEX, HEX, or DEC.
Some phones do not display an ESN label. However, the ESN number is still displayed. You will need to locate the ESN by either locating an 8 digit alphanumberic or 10 digit number.
Make note of your ESN as you will need it to complete the ESN change to activate your other phone.
