Subject: Tips, suggestions on painting a new home

We are in the process of building a new house and are going to be ready to paint soon. Some people have suggested just hiring it done. It is a rambler with a finished basement and around 3800 square feet with an attached 3 stall garage. 9 foot ceiling upstairs and down stairs with a few 10 ft tray ceilings. Quote to prime and paint everything was 8000 which makes me want to do it myself. Any tips on anything to make this go quickly and smoothly as far as techniques, materials, equipment, rollers, sprayer, etc.. Wold I be better off just doing the walls and hiring out priming everything plus painting the ceiling? Thanks
