It seems to happen every now and then, did you restart the controller during the *episode*?
It likely needs phantom and controller restarting to fix it.
Sometimes almost more worrying you do still have control but the app view suggests you don't and your stick inputs are making things worse.
All you can do is double check RTH is selected - not hover or descend - if signal is lost, and at suitable altitude.
