problems that can happen is not getting the inside of the kernel dry and the moisture wicking out later.. long as you get a good test and keep your eye on it ,won't be a big problem.. May waste some fuel drying as the air coming out will not be fully saturated..

That all said better to have to big of fan than to little and since your pushing through three foot ,you will need a big fan. Lot of smaller dryers have a 15 horse fan with 28 to 30 inch plenum.
