The original concern about E-15 in the summer was not combustion products it was concern about it evaporating from gas tanks on vehicles not rated for flex fuel. Apparently flex fuel vehicles have better gas tank seals so the ethanol doesn't evaporate as much as none flex fuel vehicles.
