Subject: RE: Mower /Conditioner - Krone EC4013CV

Central Western VA Mountains
I have a Krone 2801cv side pull, right at 9ft. IMHO it is a Cadillac. Heavy built, clean cut. The hook tine conditioners in grass hay (Timothy) do an excellent job. I have the high skid shoes to give me a 4-5 inch stubble height. The standard 2 point mount/gear swivel head makes for tight chatter free turns. Shear protection on turtles are roll pins (read cheap) and when sheared, the turtle moves up out of the way of neighboring turtles, preventing collateral damage down the cutterbar. Every turtle has shear protection, some moco’s do not. All gear drive and to lower the impeller rpms, it’s a quick turn of a handle at the gearbox. Standard are quick change reversible blades. Krone has tons of info at their website, brochures, operators and parts manuals for free download in PDF. My Krone was competitively priced too.

Good luck!
