north central Iowa, Hampton | during the winter I carry coffee thermos, now when it's warm, I freeze a couple 16 oz plastic pop bottles filled with water. (Pepsi bottles fit the bottom of my cooler)
I usually take a carrot, celery stalk, either pea pods, or cut up bell pepper and 3-4 slices of summer sausage. All the vegies are cut up pretty small. it's all finger food, I can eat it a little at a time. Also in the box, usually a banana and a couple cookies.
Not my idea of gourmet meal, or Sunday dinner, but it keeps me going and I don't really worry about anything getting too warm and spoiling. |
