It kinda sounded like what there is fairly established, i could be wrong. We picked up some ground in a similar situation as yours. Didn't get planted due to lack of money, guy cut what grew late for bedding in 17. In 18 i brush hogged (was told there was one big rock asumed there was more) the 1st cutting and baled it. Spread manure and took a 2nd cutting. This year it's acting similar to my recently seeded feilds.

I did take a cutting of hay off of last years sorghum sudan grass gound, got 1.5 4x4.5 ft bales and notiled peas and oats with grass seed, vertic is still out on it
