I have a pair of ATD couplers that work OK. They are for O-ring end hoses but I think they make them to go on flare hoses too. No mater which ones you get you have to close the high side and let it pull the R134 out through the suction side to get most of the pressure out of the hoses before you uncouple them.

The Yellow Jacket tools are the top of the line and will last techs that use them every day many years. Sometimes you buy stuff because you want to make your life a bit easier and are willing to pay the extra.
