We went back to dry 2x2 a couple years ago after infurrow 6-24-6 and broadcasting our corn fert and being unhappy with the results. I like being able to put our entire fertility program including micros right next to the seed save for the potash and sidedress N. Feel like we are getting our best bang for the buck. Around here the dry 2x2 was the best looking and fastest growing corn around with the wet cold spring we had. I don't think you can feasibly get to 50 lbs N, 35lbs S and 75lbs P and all micros with liquid but I may be wrong. We are not far from you by the looks of it.

I agree with you. My starter is just that, starter. Its readily available and gets the seed off to a good start. Then, my dry takes over. Most of my S, N and all potash comes from dry. It is possible to put large does on with the planter but expensive and time consuming. I do rely on a large part of my P going on with the starter though.
