SE Iowa | It hard to understand all the mechanics of an entire country that has easily had access to cheep supplies overcthe last 4 yrs. In area basis now is what it shoild be normal in march when the river opens.
The river has been closed for all but 2 wks making beans backed up from march. Trucks are hauling beans and no corn (some spot) but the rush now is beans. Now they have to wait on barges to make it back to reload.
Tight or not? Usda does it best it can with its methodology. The cbot delivery system is the check and balance of the market place. I didnt think cn would have any deliveries but surprise... heavy deliveries with no stoppers for a few days. Until someone wanted them and we got the rally.
Look at the cftc and comm side says plemy of corn being sold/ hedged. So Have to decide if you are a tin foil hat guy or trust the information you are given. | |
