To me most of the sweet corn now on the market is already too sweet. Breeders keep trying to make the stuff like candy, sweet then super sweet and on and on.
Grandma's sweet corn was probably not like the stuff we have now. Of course I know people that put sugar on tomatoes and cottage cheese. To each his own.
