Southern Ontario | just went thru this with the son's project house heavy cement block house, inside was strapped with 1x3 and plaster and lath on top no insulation
tore all the plaster & lath off, studded the entire interior, spray foam 3inch , new drywall
knob & tube wiring replaced , all new plumbing house is rounding in to shape
spray foam i think is the way to go on these kind of houses, seals the stone / block and acts as vapor barrier
