NW Washington | You really need the details of the wall construction. Are the walls solid rock/stone or is the rock just a veneer over frame construction like a lot of "brick" houses. The rock has just about 0 R value so you need to do something. Drainage within the wall is another problem with this type of construction.
This house could be very troublesome to maintain and insulate. I sure would pay for a professional house inspector to look this house over very well before making an offer. | |
