| These beans were planted into rye on May 17th, pictures were taken on July 7th. Emerging and growing conditions were very poor for the 1st 2 weeks due to several rounds of heavy rain. Some of the rye was crimped immediately after planting and some was crimped 16 days later when soybeans were in VC stage. Post crimped beans showed very little damage from crimper. There are some areas we chose not to crimp to see what effects the crimper had on soybeans. The areas not crimped show beans struggling for sunlight by stretching out. Plant health, number of nodes and root system are showing positive results from the crimping pass. The crimper used was 40ft wide. Control areas were terminated with round-up.
