None of that matters, according to some on here. Gonna be a good crop no matter what. Its nice to know we don't have to worry about timely planting, having a good seedbed, good soil contact, even emergence, picket fence stand. Just throw that seed out there. Heck, why get in a rush, just wait till mid may to get the planter out and start working on it.
I agree. USDA numbers are bunk. Personally I believe their old crop numbers re garbage too. Look at basis levels that keep getting more positive, corn plants open 7 days a week, commercial elevators are sweeping bins clean and out of corn. This corn market if supplied with actual facts and figures would explode to 2012 levels, USDA got caught with their pants down then and they aren't going to let it happen again. 91 million acres planted is BS, that number was figured in early June at 83% complete meaning that the intended planting number would have pushed 110 million. They are in trouble on corn and have room to run the bean market up. I think more beans are planted than reported. Whole report is bogus. |
