I would use PVC pipe or HDPE pipe do away with poly and a rope. Also use a good PVC tape to tape wire to pipe. I've pulled quite a few wells that was taped up good with galvanized pipe that broke and we pulled pump with the wire. We have replaced all our galvanized pipe out for PVC or at least to water line on really deep ones.
