Subject: RE: IL yields

North Central Illinois
First of all I don't have a clue where National yield or Illinois yields will end up and neither does anyone else. It's too damn early to be trying to put numbers to it and come even halfway close! I don't mean to find fault with your questions or projections but this is precisely the kind of post that could very well end up having guys throwing out the Illinois Crybaby insults come November or December. Do I think Illinois can yield as good as last year? No I do not but I'm not going to go out on a limb at this point and try to make any predictions. You are saying you will maybe average 180 or 190 this year. I'm not saying you are wrong but God help you if you come back on here this fall and tell of your corn crop making over 200. You will get crucified. Good luck to you. I hope things turn out better for you than what you think.
